15/8 Session 2 and 3
Nothing much to talk about here - session 2 was a disaster with 3 terribly played STTs and a cash los, for an overall loss of $40.82. Fortunately session 2 resulted in a $33.10 win, with some good solid cash gameplay

15/8 Session 1
We are underway. A relatively uneventful 2hr session where I stuck to 2 cash games. I used 3 $10 buy ins and ended up cashing $31.92 for a small win. I will have to improve on this to reach this levels target in time! I did have a £35 profit untill 99 out ran my KK in a pot where I had made the 3rd reraise!
One particular hand of note which resulted in a call I was very proud of. There was a tilting aggressive player who wa either raising or going all in every hand pre flop. I was on the button with 10 10. I flat called the $0.20 and the nutter was SB. He raised to $1.20, which is what I was hoping for and the BB passed. I re raised to $3.40 and the SB called. The flop came down A,Q,3 with two clubs. The SB moved allin almost instantly. Now We had seen him raise with all sorts as he was regularly showing, the question is was he on the steal here. The sure speed of his all in convinced me his bet was a steal. The problem was I had effectively 3rd pair! I decided that %80 of the time I would still be winning here, and so I called. two under cards to my 10 arrived on the turn and the river, different suits. My oppenent mucked his hand having seen my 10 10 - a good call.
Nothing much else to mention here - 2 players to target and one fair to middling player located.
Best wishes

An Explanation
Wow - people actually used to read my blog! Formally at Mosside.blogspot, I posted regularly on my poker exploits. The simple fact however was that what good results I had I was wasting by failing to have any sort of money managment system, playing in games far to big for my bankroll, and generally being very unorganised. Hence the Poker Rebirth!
The idea is relatively simple - I have laid out a level system which is recorded below. There are set targets, set move up levels and set drop down points, all with the ultimate aim of allowing me to gradually increase my roll. However I will consistently try and cash out. I have set cash out points and If I have failed to reach the next level by the end of ten sessions I will cash whatever I have over and above my bankroll minimum and start again at the level I am on. I am also attempting to make much better notes on my opponents and target specifc opponents as and when they appear. My final aim is to have decent bankrolls on3-4 different sites for variation etc.
My minimum buy in at any cash tables is a standard 50 x Big Blind.
The System
Level Bankroll Max Buy in Cash Max Stakes Cash Max Buy in STT Max buy in MTT
1 $200 $10 $0.10-$0.20 $10 $20

2 $500 $25 $0.25-$0.50 $25 $50

Cash out @ $900 down to $750
Drop down to level 1 @ $400

Move up to level 4 @ $2000
Cash out @ $1750 down to $1250
Drop down to level 2 @ $900
This system continues but for the time being I wont record anymore.
I have also made some guidelines for myself -
- 2 hour sessions (+to end of tourney)
- Once level 3 is passed new account to be opened on different site.
- No more than 2 x $200 buy ins per month
- 10 sessions per level limit
I will try and keep this updated as often as I can - with hands etc.
best wishes
